Teresita “Tessie” Reyes DelRosario, age 66, of Jacksonville, Florida went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on December 15, 2021 at Mayo Clinic Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida. She was born in San Antonio, Zambales Philippines on July 5, 1955 to the late Federico Reyes and late Sinforosa Aquino. Tessie was raised in the Philippines and graduated from Yangco (TRYEI) High School in 1972. Shortly after school, she married the love of her life, Angel DelRosario, who was in the United States Navy, and they relocated to Mississippi. He was stationed at numerous areas throughout his career. They moved from Mississippi to Guam, to Hawaii, to Florida. Tessie began her Career as a Dental Assistant, Bank Teller, Jeweler, and Cashier (Navy Exchange and Commissary) all in Hawaii. Later, she worked as a Cashier and worked in the Cash Cage at the Commissary in Mayport. Her longest and most proud career was as a Mail Handler at the United States Postal Service in Jacksonville where she served many years until her retirement. Tessie also spent time in Virginia when her Daughter was in the Navy and recently with her Son who works for NGA and the Air National Guard. When not working, she enjoyed attending worship at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, taking care of her grandchildren, cooking, sewing, shopping, singing, staying connected on social media, traveling, watching action movies, and was a good bowler. She was very happy, excited, and proud to be crowned Queen for San Antonio’s 75th Diamond Jubilee & Grand Alumni Homecoming January 2020 in the Philippines. Tessie was very creative and loved all flowers. She was a beautiful person inside and out. She was very helpful, caring, thoughtful, generous, friendly, hardworking and her love was unconditional. She always smiled and loved to laugh. Most of all, she loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers (Cesar & Johnny), sisters (Virginia & Laling), and loving husband of 32 years, Angel DelRosario. Tessie is survived by her loving children, Angeline (Mike) Garcia of Jacksonville, FL and Terence (Raquel) DelRosario of Fredericksburg, VA; brother, Ernesto Reyes of the Philippines; sister, Cora (Don, Sr.) Cotta of Jacksonville, FL; and three grandchildren, Terra, Angelus, and Myla, whom she named. A Mass Celebration will be held on Thursday, December 23, 2021 at 11:00 am at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church with Father Rafael Lavilla as celebrant. Interment will follow at Beaches Memorial Park, Atlantic Beach, FL. The family will receive friends for visitation on December 23, 2021 from 10:00 am - 11:00 am at the church.
