Ronnie Lee Johnson, age 49, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away on February 13, 2022, at his residence. Ronnie was born in Baltimore, Maryland on May 17, 1972, to his loving parents, Terry Lee Johnson and Marsha Edes. He was raised in Jacksonville and attended Ed White High School and Baldwin Senior High School. Ronnie met the love of his life, Kimberly Thompson, shortly after school and together they have enjoyed being best friends and companions for the last 29 years. He was a devoted husband, loving father, and grandfather who had the best and most magnetic personality. Ronnie was a people person by nature, never met a stranger, and if you knew him you loved him. Ronnie was full of life, loved being outdoors, being on the lake, and hunting with his friends. He was an avid Miami Hurricane and Jacksonville Jaguar fan who loved music, kids, and dogs. Most of all, Ronnie enjoyed spending time with his sweet family and friends and loved making special memories with them. He was preceded in death by his daughters, Amber Lee Johnson and Marli Batalla. Ronnie is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Kim “Donna” Thompson of Jacksonville, FL; father, Terry Lee Johnson of Jacksonville, FL; mother and step father, Marsha (Mark) Hedrick of Jacksonville, FL; children, Owen Lee Johnson, Ronnie Lee Johnson, Jr., Jessi Lee Johnson, John Maano all of Jacksonville, FL; brothers, Benjamin Smith, Devin Lee “Shot” Johnson, and Kyle Lee (Lacie Smith) Johnson all of Jacksonville, FL; grandson, Essiah Lee Johnson; many nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends who Ronnie loved dearly. A Celebration of Ronnie’s Life will be held on Monday, February 21, 2022, at 11:00 am at the Promise Land Baptist Church with Pastor Steve Whitcomb and Brother Seth Samples officiating. Interment will follow at Jacksonville Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 20, 2022, from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at Ferreira Funeral Services Chaffee Chapel.
