    Mr. Richard McKinney

    September 12, 1926 - April 22, 2022

    Mr. Richard McKinney, 95, of McAlpin, Fl., went home to be with his Lord and Savior, on April 22, 2022, at U.F. Health Hospital in Gainesville following a brief illness. Born on September 12, 1926, in Noblesville, In., to the late Wren and Frieda Pruitt McKinney. Mr. McKinney was avid outdoorsman, loving fishing, and hunting; he just recently went this past hunting season at the age of 95. He was an Untied States of America Army Veteran that proudly served his country during WWII. Mr. McKinney started, owned, and operated McKinney Dairy Farm since 1950’s. He was a loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 70 years, Phyllis McKinney, they were married on November 12, 1948; his parents, Wren and Frieda McKinney; grandson, Drew Combee; son-in-law, Dwight Combee; brothers, Wayne, Lee, Donald, Dave McKinney (and Spouses). Survivors include daughters, Pam Combee, Angie Combee (Tim) both of McAlpin, Fl.; sister, Judy Smith, of Plant City, Fl.; grandchildren, Ryan Combee (Tracy), Jared Combee (Amber); great grandchildren, Ashlee Combee, Lexi Combee, Payton Combee, and Harper Combee, numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Graveside Funeral Service for Mr. McKinney will be conducted at 12:00 noon, Thursday, April 28, 2022, at Oak Grove Cemetery, Branford, Fl with Rev. Eddie Blalock officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care and direction of FERREIRA FUNERAL SERVICES, 458 South Marion Avenue, Lake City, FL 32025 (386)752-1234.
