Moody - Raymond Leonard Moody, age 81, of Starke, Florida passed away on December 25, 2020 at E.T. York Care Center in Gainesville, Florida. Raymond was born in Jacksonville, Florida on December 11, 1939 to the late John C. Moody and Willie Prevatt Moody. He was raised in Starke and graduated from Bradford High School in 1958. Raymond married the love of his life, Joyce Musselman, on January 14, 1967 and together they shared 53 amazing years. He was a family man who devoted his life to being a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Raymond loved his Lord and Savior and was given gifts by God in playing the piano and singing. He served as the Music Minister at Pine Level Baptist Church for many years and was currently an active member at Madison Street Baptist Church. Raymond enjoyed his longtime career as a Bookkeeper and in his free time he enjoyed being outside, tending to his yard, and looking at old classic cars. Most of all, Raymond loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Fred Wimpy, Jesse Moody, Leonard Moody, and Charlie Moody; and his sisters, Ira Cowart, Clara Leroy, Allie Mae McKinney, and Ann Goodge. Raymond is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Joyce Musselman Moody of Starke, FL; his sons, Tim (Pam) Moody of Starke, FL, and Jeff (Kem) Moody of Gainesville, FL; his sister, Helen Stewart of Lake City, FL; his grandchildren Lauren, Ethan, Josiah (Sarah), Sarah, and Hannah Moody; along with extended family members Raymond loved dearly. A Celebration of Raymond’s Life will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at 11:00 am at Madison Street Baptist Church with Pastor Jeff Moody, Pastor Charles Warren, Pastor Roman Alvarez and Brother Jim Wright officiating. Interment will follow at Kingsley Lake Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 2, 2021 from 10:00 – 11:00 am at the church. Arrangements are under the care and direction of V.
