Johnson – Raymon Arthur Johnson, age 93, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away March 4, 2020. He was born November 27, 1926 in South Georgia to the late Arthur Gentry Johnson and Ethel Johnson. Raymon moved from Hazlehurst, Georgia to Jacksonville, Florida in 1945. In his younger years he learned many skills from operating heavy equipment, television repair, mechanics and general household repair. He was the owner/operator at J&S Trucking in his later years. He always helped anyone in need. If he didn’t know how to repair something for you, he would figure it out. Raymon enjoyed fishing, boating and watching football. He especially loved to BBQ outdoors with friends and family. Raymon is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Eloise Wade; son, Richard Wayne Johnson; grandson, Cameron Johnson. Raymon is survived by his loving wife of 73 years Alline Powell Johnson of Jacksonville, FL; daughter, Donna Arn of Jacksonville, FL; brothers, Daymon Johnson of Jacksonville, and James Johnson of Hazelhurst, GA; 4 grandchildren, Joey (April) Arn of St. Johns, FL, Jenny (Brian) Suggs of Jacksonville, FL, Hunter Arn of Jacksonville, FL, and Matthew Johnson of Melrose, FL; 4 great grandchildren Tyler, Levi, Amelia, and Piper; 2 extended family members, Rob Arn and Angie Tekin; and special friend, Sherry Larramore. A Celebration of Raymon’s life will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. at Beaches Memorial Park Chapel with Pastor David Patrick officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday one hour prior to service at the Chapel. The arrangements are under the care and direction of V.
