Mr. Michael Wayne Collingwood

Collingwood – Michael “Mike” Wayne Collingwood, age 54, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away on September 25, 2021 at St. Vincent’s Medical Center Riverside in Jacksonville. He was born in Jacksonville, Florida on December 28, 1966 to the late Hugh Wilbert Collingwood and Katherine Lovell Case Collingwood. Mike was a lifelong resident of Duval County. After attending Paxon High School, Mike enjoyed a long career as a Paint and Body Technician at Kenworth of Jacksonville. When not working, he enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, relaxing and drinking a cold refreshing beer. Mike loved listening to classic rock music and was known for making the best potato salad. He enjoyed watching his favorite television shows, Bonanza, Gun Smoke, and Wheel of Fortune and would watch reruns often. More than anything, Mike loved his family and friends and enjoyed hanging out with them all. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Rick and Ernest Collingwood; and his nephew, Billy Smith. Mike is survived by his loving fiancé, Amanda Altrice of Jacksonville, FL; brothers, Joe (Tootie) Collingwood of Hilliard, FL and Clayton Elliot (Tiffany) Collingwood of Jacksonville, FL; sisters, Rose Marie (Larry Wade) Cottle of St. George, GA, Catherine Elizabeth (Martin Joseph) Davis of Middleburg, FL, and Gracie Emily (Todd) Lyon of Orange Park, FL; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. A Celebration of Mike’s Life will be held on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at 3:00 pm at V. Todd Ferreira Funeral Services with Chaplain Jim Cox officiating. Interment will follow at Macedonia Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 1, 2021 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the care and direction of V.
