Ms. Maryann Elizabeth Hamm

August 5, 1942 - February 24, 2022

Maryann Elizabeth Hamm, age 79, of Lake City, Florida went to her Heavenly home on February 24, 2022, at the Suwannee Valley Care Center. She was born August 5, 1942, in Suwannee County, Florida to the late Joel Crews and Pearl Holtzclaw Crews. Maryann was a lifelong resident of Lake City. She loved the Lord with all her heart and enjoyed going to church regularly. Maryann was married to the love of her life, Jimmy Carl Hamm, for 41 years. Before Jimmy passed away, they loved going to the races together. Maryann also liked going to yard sales and shopping in general. Her favorite thing to do was spend time with her family and grandchildren, whom she helped raise. Maryann was a wonderful mother and grandmother and will be missed dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jimmy Carl Hamm; daughter, Brenda Hamm; sister, Mellie Louise “Sis” Crews Rhoden; brothers, David Crews, Bobbie Crews; grandson, Stanford Deese, Jr.; and her companion of 10 years, Billy Williams. Maryann is survived by her children, Lisa (Stan) Deese, Jean Hamm, Carla (Mike) Philman, and Amy (Jeffery) Creamer all of Lake City, Florida; brothers, Charles (Brenda) Crews of Lake City, FL, Jay (Linda) Crews of Live Oak, FL, Ldean Crews of Lake City, FL; 11 grandchildren, Stephen, James, Shawn, Crissy, Amber, Carol “CJ”, Ashley, Trey, Shane, Victoria, Hunter, Noah, and 15 great grandchildren. A Celebration of MaryAnn’s Life will be held Thursday, March 3, 2022, at 2:00 pm at Ferreira Funeral Services. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
