Perone–Mary Alice Perone age 76, of Starke, Florida passed away on July 29, 2021 at North Florida Regional Medical Center in Gainesville, Florida. She was born in Collins, GA on August 9, 1944 to the late Lovett Lynn and Elevener Hutcheson Lynn. Mary Alice was raised in Deland, FL where she graduated from Deland High School in 1964, and shortly after started working at Kenwen Dress Shop as the manager for 8 years. On May 7, 1994 Mary Alice married the love of her life, Robert Perone and together they spent 27 beautiful years. She enjoyed her career at the Volusia County Department of Revenue for 29 years before relocating to Starke, FL for Roberts new career. Mary Alice and Robert have spent the past 14 years in Bradford County making it their forever home. She was a long time member of Bayless Road Baptist Church where she enjoyed worshipping her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Mary Alice enjoyed sewing, gospel music, and playing phase 10. More than anything, Mary Alice loved her family and friends and enjoyed spending time with them. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Grace Henry, Joanne Lynn, Joyce Buck; and brother, Richard Lynn. Mary Alice is survived by her loving husband, Robert Perone of Starke, FL; brothers, Lee Roy Lynn of Deland, FL, Earl Lynn of New Port Richey, FL, and Carl (Louise) Lynn of Beech Grove, IN; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members. A Celebration of Mary Alice’s Life will be held on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Kepler Baptist Church with Reverend Mike Conner, Jr. and Reverend Jerry Durdan officiating. Interment will follow at Deland Memorial Garden in Deland, FL. The family will receive friends an hour prior at the church. Arrangements are under the care and direction of V.
