Floyd – Ila Beatrice Floyd, age 83, of Macclenny, Florida passed away January 31, 2021 at St. Vincent’s Medical Center Riverside in Jacksonville, Florida. She was born January 11, 1938 in Arcadia, Florida to the late Alvin Scott and Lynnie Williams Scott. Ila was raised in Arcadia. She graduated from Desota County High School and shortly after met the love of her life, Herbert Eugene Floyd. They were happily married and enjoyed 50 wonderful years of marriage. Ila was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend who loved her family dearly. She was most passionate about taking care of others. Ila enjoyed being a homemaker and later in life enjoyed her career at the Wal-Mart store in Jacksonville where she worked for 10 years. She also enjoyed sewing, puzzles, and playing games with her grandchildren. More than anything, Ila loved spending time with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband of 50 years, Herbert Eugene “Gene” Floyd, Sr.; sons, Herbert Eugene “Bird” Floyd, Jr. And Steven Dale Floyd, Sr.; brothers, George, Jerry, James, and Freddy Scott; and her sister, Helen Adkinson. Ila is survived by her children, Wayne Floyd of Bryceville, FL, Davey Mark (Donna) Floyd of Taylor, FL, and Allen Floyd of Macclenny, FL; daughter-in-law, Wanda Shirley Floyd of Glen St. Mary, FL; grandchildren, Steven (Lara Leigh) Floyd, April (Trey) Scott, Matthew Floyd, Jessica Floyd, and Jennifer (Ryan) Griffis; great-grandchildren, Torah, Tiara, Raylin, Paige, Isaac, Chloe, Gavin, Sophia, and Kelen. A Graveside Celebration of Ila’s life will be held on Thursday, February 4, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Oak Grove Cemetery with Mr. James Paulk officiating.
