Pineda- George Caisido Pineda, age 70, of Orange Park, Florida passed away on May 15, 2022, at St. Vincent’s Riverside Center for Caring in Jacksonville. He was born in IloIlo, Philippines on April 28, 1952, to the late Ponciano Pineda and Maria Caisido Pineda. George was raised in the Philippines and moved to Guam as a teenager. He relocated to the United States to New York as a young adult and resided there until making Florida his forever home. He enjoyed an amazing career as a Registered Nurse and was currently employed at St. Vincent’s Medical Center Riverside where he has served in their Telemetry Department for the past 18 years. George met the love of his life, Marizalina Samonte, in the early 2000’s and they were happily married on October 30, 2007. They have thoroughly enjoyed the past 15 years of marriage. George was an amazing husband, father, son, brother, and friend. He was very talented with his hands and enjoyed painting, cooking, sewing, and playing tennis. George proudly supported his family church, Living Waters Ministry, and attended Christ is the Answer Church in Jacksonville. Most of all, George loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ponciano Pineda and Maria Caisido Pineda; 3 brothers and 2 sisters. George is survived by his loving wife of 15 years, Marizalina Samonte Pineda of Orange Park, FL; his sons, Gerard of the Philippines and Joacquin of Orange Park, FL; brothers, Luisito (Lydia) Pineda of Baltimore, MD, Ed Pineda of Orange Park, FL, and Danny (Eleanor) Pineda of Syracuse, NY; sisters, Warlita (Peter) Schulz of Syracuse, NY, Victoria (Cesar) Esperida of the Philippines, and Leah Pineda of Syracuse, NY; along with many extended family members and friends who loved George dearly. A Celebration of George’s Life will be held on Friday, May 20, 2022, at 6:00 pm at Ferreira Funeral Services Chaffee Road Chapel, 1320 Chaffee Road South, Jacksonville, FL, 32221, 904-378-7777 with Reverend Leah Pineda officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday an hour prior to the service at the funeral home. A committal service will follow on Saturday, May 21, 2022, at 1:00 pm at Beaches Memorial Park.
