Mr. George “Jr.” Harold Watts Jr.

    September 19, 1970 - February 11, 2022

Watts – George “Jr.” Harold Watts, Jr., age 51, of Bryceville, Florida passed away on February 11, 2022, at his residence. He was born on September 19, 1970, in Jacksonville, Florida to his loving parents, George Harold Watts, Sr. and Peggy Broxton Watts. Jr. was raised in Jacksonville and graduated from Ed White High School in 1988. Before graduation, he earned his certifications as a welder and served with his father at Tri State Contractors for a few years. He also worked at Millennium Specialty Chemicals in Jacksonville for 14 years before opening his own business, Watts Welding and Fabrication, which he proudly ran for 14 years. Jr’s main passion in life was his family. In 1989, Jr. met the love of his life, Christina LeTralle Schofield, and they were happily married on March 20, 1990. Jr. was a devoted husband, loving father, pop, brother, and friend who enjoyed spending time with his family and making sweet memories. He also enjoyed being outdoors; hunting in his younger years, watching the deer in his back yard, fishing, and going to the beach. He also loved all music, but especially enjoyed old country, southern rock, and gospel. Jr. was a jack of all trades, a family man, a leader, and a true friend. He will be greatly missed and forever loved by all who knew him. Jr. was preceded in death by his mother, Peggy Watts and his brother, Dan Watts. Jr. is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Chris Watts of Bryceville, FL; his daughters, Brandy (Robert) Williams of Greenville, SC, Amber Johnson of Macclenny, FL, and Lisa (Bryan) Motes of Jacksonville, FL; his father, George Harold Watts, Sr. of Jacksonville, FL; grandchildren, Raylan, Liam, Jonnie, Harlo, and Oliver; sister-in-law, Karen Watts; brother-in-law, Bryan (Anne) Schofield; niece, Katie Schofield; nephews, Daniel Watts and Eli Watts; along with many extended family members and friends. A Celebration of Jr.’s Life will be held on Thursday, February 17, 2022, at 3:00 pm at Hope for Life Baptist Church, 7725 Ramona Blvd. West, Jacksonville, FL 32221, with Pastor Billy Bray officiating. Interment will follow at Sellers Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 2:00 – 3:00 pm at the church. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Ferreira Funeral Services, 1320 Chaffee Road South, Jacksonville, FL, 32221, 904-378-7777.
