Erin Casto Sturgill

October 24, 1973 - February 18, 2022

Erin Casto Sturgill, age 48, went home to be with the Lord, on February 18, 2022. She was a former resident of Hurricane, WV and Bel Alton, MD. Erin was born October 24, 1973, in Huntington, WV to Bruce and Kathy Beckett Casto. She was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Emily Grace. Also, her grandparents, Clinton and Jean Beckett and Ken Casto, all of Hurricane, WV. Erin’s life was a testament to her love for her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ by her own unselfish service and love to her family and everyone she met. She was a member at Deermeadows Baptist Church where she served faithfully in children’s preschool ministry. Upon graduation from Marymount University in Arlington, VA, she began her professional career in the insurance industry in Jacksonville, FL. Erin was the heart of her family. Her legacy of selfless love and kindness will always be cherished by her husband of 24 years Ronald (Ron) James Sturgill and daughters Hannah Grace and Audrey Grace. She is survived by her parents, Bruce and Kathy Casto of Jacksonville, FL; sister Sara Buckingham (David) of Upper Marlboro, MD; mother-in-law Ida Sturgill of Jacksonville, FL; sister-in-law Lisa Bryant (Chad) and nephews Jackson, Walker, and Samuel of Mount Pleasant, SC; father-in-law Ronald F. Sturgill of Palm Bay, FL; grandmother Shirley Casto of Hurricane, WV; numerous family members and cherished friends. A celebration of Erin’s life will be held on Monday, February 28, 2022 at 11:00 am at Deermeadows Baptist Church at 9780 Baymeadows Road, Jacksonville, FL. with Pastor Larry Yarborough officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service and also on Sunday, February 27, 2022 from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Deermeadows Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Chapel Hills Cemetery. The service will be live-streamed at www.deermeadows.org/livestream.
