Lovingood – Charles Lamar Lovingood, age 58, of Macclenny, Florida passed away March 16, 2020 at First Coast Health and Rahab Center in Jacksonville. He was born December 8, 1961 in Marietta, Georgia to Pat Lovingood and the late Edward “Ed” Marvin Lovingood. Lamar was raised in Miami, Jacksonville, and Macclenny, Florida. He was a jack of all trades and was very skilled with his hands. Lamar learned from his father at an early age how to mechanic and tinker with various projects. Throughout the years, Lamar worked in the plumbing industry, electrical industry, sandblasting on ships, and automobile painting. He was passionate about his work, but also enjoyed dirt bikes, skating, and surfing in his younger years. Most of all, Lamar loved his family and will be missed dearly. He is preceded in death by his father, Edward Marvin Lovingood. Lamar is survived by his loving mother, Pat C. Lovingood of Macclenny, FL; children, Charles Lee Lovingood of CA, Daniel Kyle Lovingood of West Palm Beach, FL, Jerika Lynn Lovingood of CA, and Joshua Allen Lovingood of Jacksonville Beach, FL; 4 grandchildren; sister, Janis (Malcolm) Starling of Macclenny, FL; and brothers, Jeffery Allen (Leslie) Lovingood, and Tim (Tammie) Lovingood, both of Macclenny, FL. A Celebration of Lamar’s Life will be held Thursday, March 19, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church with Pastor John Orberg officiating. Interment will follow at South Prong Cemetery in Sanderson, Florida. The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 19, 2020 an hour prior to the service at the church.
